MEET THE DESIGNER
Born in 1989, Tatyana was raised in Southern Israel. Ever since she can recall, “I have always looked at Israel as one of my main sources of inspiration as it is a cultural mecca with various terrains that allow for her architecture to be curated based on varying climates that are suitable for a wide variety of styles, aesthetics, and designs.” Having the privilege of being raised in such a wondrous country, her world was always surrounded by mother nature and some of the most incredible cultural institutions that would forever change her life. And for that matter - shape it.
Gold moved to South Florida when she was seventeen thanks to a green card lottery, and after a stint in Philadelphia, she relocated to Miami in 2009 where she studied interior design at the Miami International University of Art and Design- graduating with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. Shortly thereafter in 2018, a year after her graduation in 2017, she tells us “I had worked for a high-end furniture company after graduating as their in-house interior designer and that's when I learned about the limitations, I had to face with designing spaces under the guidance of a retail brand.” She realized that everything was limited, “from textile selections to basic layout - so little by little I felt my creativity was being crushed by the rules and regulations of a mega-giant furniture company.” And so, she decided that it was her moment to shine, especially because “I missed evenings and weekends with my family so that was the catalyst in my decision to become the founder of Prisma Interiors.” And within a month of quitting her job, her former clients from her first design job reached out to her separately. “I ended up working on their homes from top-to-bottom, full scale interior design & renovation projects, and the rest was history.”
Different from other designers in South Florida’s landscape, it is her great appreciation for the architecture envelope and existing elements within a space that sets her apart. Always finding a way to create magic in a harmonious way, “I create timeless, elegant, and functional spaces that clients get to grow into for years to come.” Additional she shares, “Considering I am a family-oriented person, and my business is no different, I appreciate, and respect people’s personal lives. I make sure that I incorporate these elements into their residences and spaces, because after all, their home is their temple. That being said, I take into consideration their needs and aesthetics as much as I do their lifestyle and family needs in the present and equally in the future.”
